This pic shows both wing glued and with filler. I used 3M's Acryl Blue, which I find to be very good.

I cut off the lower wingtip and made it to point upward, added the bulges on the main gear doors, the radiator exausts on the upside of the wing, the landing lights and radiator intakes on the leading edge and filled the screw heads.

Radiator intakes and exausts, and the bulge on the doors come from the vac sheet included in Guillows' balsa model.

Here you see the R-2600 engines and their cowlings.
Engines are from Engines & Things, but were too large. I had to cut off all the cylinders, saw off their basement and put them into position again. After this pic was taken I added all the copper wires.

Cowlings are those from the kit but I had to cut the flaps because they were tapered the wrong way.
Cowlings themselves have been shortened at rear and drilled out at front to replace the single piece engine face they had. The propeller is from a Revell F4U Corsair, but this one has not actually been used on the model.
Leter on I added all the exaust shrouds to the cowlings.

Now the main wheels. In this pic you see half a wheel. The black wheel is the one provided by Guillows'. It lacks all details, the hub is plain and has no thread. I drilled out the hub and used another wheel reversed (inner face out).
I drilled all the holes, added some detail and then I glued all around the tire some thin plastic sheet I got by copying the canvas roof of the cabin in a Mi.24 Hind by Monogram.
At right you see the resin copy of the half wheel.
